Delivered new in 1976 to West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive, 4714 was one of a batch of vehicles with the unusual combination of MCW body on a Bristol chassis.
She operated mainly from Walsall garage, and in 1985 was repainted into South Staffordshire Tramways livery of maroon and cream, to celebrate 100 years of public transport in Walsall.
4714 was withdrawn from service in 1986 and was presented to Aston Manor Road Transport Museum by West Midlands Travel. She is regularly used on the Museum running days on the free bus service, and will be attending rallies representing the Museum
