Metro Cammell were the first manufacturer to produce a purpose-built small bus that did not rely on a modified van chassis and body. This was the last one to be delivered to WMT and the only survivor in preservation. For a while, 685 operated for the Metrowest subsidiary, in its green and cream livery.

Full restoration is still in progress.
