One of a number of Bedford fire engines used by Birmingham in the 1950s, TL (turntable ladder) 19 has bodywork by Wilsdon of Solihull and a German-made Magirus 100 foot ladder supplied and fitted by Morris of Manchester.

This iconic vehicle served until the 1960s and was then used by a firm of tree surgeons. It came close to being scrapped before coming to the Museum in 1992 where it still awaits renovation. It is currently viewable through the back emergency door of the museum, though access can be provided on request.
