AOG679 was originally one of 15 Daimler COG5 buses that entered service in Birmingham in 1935 with double-deck Northern Counties bodies.
After the war a new van body was fitted by Riverlee of Tysley and it was used as a cash carrier, collecting the day's takings from garages and delivering it safely to the bank. Sold by BCT for preservation in 1967.
It is now at the Museum and undergoing renovation.
