Undergoing renovation in the workshop, this Morris was converted to a ‘Home Cruiser’ by M Calthorpe Ltd in Surrey. The J2 had been in one family since the early 1960s, and, although a Morris, had run with the alternative Austin front grille for much of its life, after an accident. A new Morris grille was sourced and fitted in the late 1990s, at the same time as extensive renovation of the main structure, but the restoration was never completed. The caravan was generously donated to the Museum in 2015 and work restarted. It is now on show as an iconic 1960s period holiday home.
