Further reading

Metrobus 8110 entered service with guide wheels ahead of the front axle to be used on the experimental guided busway section of route 65 for what was then known as Tracline 65. After the trial finished the guide wheels were removed and the bus saw service as a standard Metrobus, ending up with Travel Coventry as their 2970.

Since joining the museum fleet, the bus has been returned to near-original condition, complete with guide arms. Within the museum is an exhibit with more details of the Guided Bus system.
